[Jool-list] other transition mechs support

We do have MAP-T on the radar, but it still seems a ways off. I'd like to
do #140 and #175 first and the major jist is that I have been (and will
continue) working half time for a while, so it's hard to catch up.

I'll ask if we can get more hands working on the project tomorrow.
